BILLING POLICY)

The City bills on a monthly basis for water, sewer and garbage collection.  Water meters are read beginning on the 15th of each month and bills are mailed between the 1st and 6th of each month.  Billing is based on the water usage from the 15th of one month to the 15th of the next month.  For example, the bill you receive the first week in June is for water consumption between April 15 and May 15.  Bills are always due by the 25th of each month. 

The following is the standard payment and billing policy:

          1.          MONTHLY BILL:  Each month the customer receives a utility bill.  The bill is due by the 25th day of the month.

          2.          PAST DUE PENALTY:  If payment is not received by the 25th day of the month, there is a 10% penalty and the account is considered past due and delinquent.

          3.          DELINQUENT NOTICE:  If payment is not received by the 25th day of the month, the customer's bill is considered delinquent and a ten percent (10%) penalty is assessed. If payment is not made within eight days from the 25th, the customer's water service is subject to termination and a $25.00 service fee is assessed.

Over 2,000 gallons water usage: $2.75/1,000 Gallons charged each for water and sewer.
